Danny Clark, founder of Spiritual Performance

I've been on a quest to understand some of life's biggest questions, such as "What am I?," "What is the purpose of my life?", and "What is Nature?" I grew up a martial artist and spent over 18 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, gym owner, and curriculum director. What I learned is that working with one's physical and inner power is crucial for self discovery and living a life that is yours.

This e-course is the synthesis of what I have learned about body power so far in my journey. It's my hope that this learning experience will help you ignite your inner fire and lead your most powerful life. I look forward to working with you!

Do I need to be young, in shape, and injury free to do this e-course?

Absolutely not! This e-course is for all ages, experience levels, and abilities. Danny has worked with the full spectrum of ages and abilities and designed this e-course to be accessible and empowering for anyone. If you have an injury and are cleared to engage in exercise, you can work with the movements and within the ranges of motion that don't cause you pain. Supportive equipment, such as bolsters and bands, are utilized to help accommodate all learners.

I'm already pretty fit. Will I get anything from this e-course?

It depends on what you are looking for. This program is about developing pure power without burning yourself out. So, no matter how fit you are, you will increase your power output and further activate your systems involved in force production. You'll also encounter a spiritual focused approach toward fitness, which may encourage growth in other ways.

This e-course not designed like a typical workout that aims to maximize calorie burning, muscle building, or conditioning - so if that is your expectation, this program will not be a good fit.

This program is about stripping away what isn't true or necessary. I used to over-exercise and this approach has allowed me to realize how burned out I was, as well as help me lead my students toward a balanced approach to training in their lives. I personally follow this routine, and I continue to learn more about my body and unlock new levels of power.

What movements are covered?

The practices sessions are organized as follows:

5 - Single Leg Squat + Side Support Knee Tuck
6 - Split Squat + Dynamic Plank

The e-guide will give you printable diagrams to help you mix and match to create your own combinations when you are ready.

What equipment is required?

Below is a general list of what you will need in order to effectively engage in the movements:

-Padded surface (yoga mat, foam tiles, etc.)

-Knee height object you can safely step and jump onto (bench, stairs, chairs, large rock, etc.)

-Pull-up bar or stable tree branch

-Parallettes (optional, but very helpful)

-Range of light to moderate weights (dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags, logs, rocks, etc. that are 5 lbs to half of body weight)

-Supportive equipment to make movements more accessible (bands for pull-ups, bolsters for sitting on the ground, etc.)

is 15-20 minutes really enough to see progress?

It's more than enough. We have been conditioned to think that more is better, and fitness training needs to be an obsession to be effective.

Less is more when the goal of your training is health. Our body's power systems are highly responsive to intentional training. Your neuromuscular system is reorganizing itself constantly and your metabolic system is replenishing itself around the clock. This is why it's so important and effective to keep your power systems activated without burning yourself out. This is what makes training simple and sustainable. From our perspective, any additional movement should be relaxing and/or directed toward activities in life that you thoroughly enjoy.

Eventually, when you begin making your own practice sessions, they can be completed in 10-15 minutes or less and need only be practiced a 1-3 times a week.

Will I lose fat and/or gain muscle by following this program?

It depends. At Spiritual Performance, we see your body as a physical expression of your soul. This program is designed to help you gain the freedom in your body to discover your true self and live your best life. We've seen that our bodies will become more healthy and reflect the body composition that is optimal for each of us when we are on our true path. Therefore, losing fat and gaining muscle is not the focus of this program, but it could be a benefit.
